Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Expert Health, Inc. ("Expert Health", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use getexperthealth.com. It also explains how your information is handled once you move on to our telehealth partner, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are and what we do

Expert Health is a telehealth facilitation company. We help you learn about treatment options and connect you with care. We do not provide medical care, prescribe, compound, manufacture or dispense medications. Ola Digital Health provides the telehealth technology platform where you create an account, complete your medical intake and pay. Clinical evaluations and prescribing are done by independent licensed medical provider networks, and medications are dispensed by independent licensed pharmacies.

Information we collect

Information you give us on this website. When you fill in a form, take our assessment or book a call, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Health-related information: the health goals and symptoms you select, your age, height and weight, sleep, activity and energy levels, health conditions you tell us apply to you, and the treatments you are interested in.
• Other details: your state, your sex, when you would like to start, and any notes you write.
• Your consent choices, such as whether you agreed to receive text messages.

Information collected automatically. For each page request our server records the page address, the country the request came from, the website that referred you (the site's name only, not the full address), and whether the request came from a person or an automated crawler. We do not record your IP address or your full browser identifier in this log. If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, we record those tags and the page you landed on, so we know which campaigns bring people to us.

Information stored in your browser. The site saves your assessment answers and the campaign that first brought you here in your browser's local storage, so your results page can be shown and your answers are not lost between pages. This stays on your device unless you submit a form. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Information from payment processing. When you pay on our telehealth partner's checkout, our payment processor tells us about the transaction: your name, email address and phone number, the amount, the service purchased and whether the payment succeeded, failed or was refunded. We never receive or store your full payment card details.

Information we do not collect. We do not receive the medical records created during your consultation, and we do not hold your prescriptions.

How we use your information

• To respond to you, recommend relevant treatment options and connect you with our telehealth partner.
• To contact you about your enquiry, your consultation and your plan, by email, phone, or text message if you consented to texts.
• To send marketing messages, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.
• To process refunds and handle payment issues, such as a payment that failed.
• To understand how the website is used and which campaigns work, and to improve the site.
• To keep the website secure, and to meet our legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information or your health information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share information only as follows:

• With our telehealth partner and your care team. When you continue to checkout, you go to Ola Digital Health's platform, where you provide your information directly. The independent licensed providers who evaluate you and the licensed pharmacies that fill your prescriptions receive what they need to provide your care.
• With service providers who work for us. These are our website host (Cloudflare), our customer relationship and messaging platform (GoHighLevel, which also runs our call booking calendar and sends our text messages), our email delivery provider (Resend), our workflow automation tool (Make), our internal team messaging tool (Slack), which alerts our staff when a new enquiry arrives, and our payment processor (Stripe). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Other third-party software. To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from the unpkg content network. These services receive your IP address as part of the normal web request.
• For legal reasons. When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our patients, our users, the public or Expert Health.
• In a business transfer. If Expert Health is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Text messages and your mobile information

If you give your phone number and consent, Expert Health may send you text messages about your goals, your plan, appointment reminders, and offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone. The only information we pass to our independent telehealth partner is what they need to provide your care, which is not marketing, and they do not receive your SMS consent.

We use service providers to deliver messages on our behalf, such as our messaging platform. They may only use your information to deliver our messages and for nothing else.

HIPAA and your medical information

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) applies to healthcare providers, health plans and their business associates. The independent licensed providers who treat you, and the pharmacies that dispense your medication, handle the medical information created during your care under their own HIPAA obligations and their own privacy notices, which you receive through our telehealth partner.

Expert Health is not a healthcare provider. Information you give us directly on this website, such as your assessment answers, is held by us under this policy. If we receive protected health information from a covered entity under a business associate agreement, we handle it as that agreement and HIPAA require. Whatever the law requires, we treat any health-related information you give us as sensitive and protect it as described below.

State privacy laws

Several states give residents specific rights over their personal information and their consumer health data, including California, Connecticut, Nevada, Virginia, Colorado and Washington, among others. Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in other states cover health-related information collected outside of HIPAA. Where these laws apply to us and to you, you have the rights they grant, as described in the next section. We do not sell personal information or consumer health data, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we collect and share consumer health data only as needed to provide what you ask for, or with your consent.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information and health data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete your information.
• Withdraw your consent, including consent to text messages and marketing.
• Know which third parties we have shared your information with.
• Appeal if we decline your request.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. Some information may be kept where the law requires it. Requests about your medical records, prescriptions or consultation go to the provider and pharmacy that hold them; we will help direct you.

How we protect your information

All traffic to and from this website is encrypted in transit with TLS (HTTPS), enforced on every page by our hosting provider. We also apply security headers across the site to reduce common browser-based attacks.

Information you submit is stored in access-controlled managed cloud databases and in our customer relationship system. Access is limited to authorized Expert Health personnel who need it in order to respond to you, using individual accounts that are not shared. Access keys and credentials are held in encrypted secret storage, never in our website code.

Card information is handled directly by our payment processor and does not pass through our systems.

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security. Children

This website is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
